# Resolving Audio and Video Issues

If your transmission is not working, it may be due to local settings, browser permissions, or hardware. Please go through the following steps one by one.


# mic My microphone is not working

If the other participants cannot hear you, please check the following:

  1. Hardware Check: Is your headset or microphone physically muted? Many devices have a dedicated mute switch on the cable or the device itself.
  2. Session Status: * Have you activated audio transmission in the control elements at the top left?
    • Is the microphone icon next to your profile picture crossed out? If so, click it to unmute yourself.
  3. Device Settings: Click the settings_video_camera gear icon (top left) to open the settings dialog. Select the correct input device and use the level test.
  4. Browser Permissions: Does your browser have access to the microphone? Look for icons in your browser's address bar and ensure access is set to "Allow".

# videocam My video is not being transmitted

If your camera image remains black or does not start:

  • Activation: Check the control elements (top left) to see if the camera icon is activated.
  • Camera Selection: Open the settings via the settings_video_camera gear icon. If you have multiple cameras, select the desired model there.
  • Close Other Programs: Ensure that no other software (such as Teams, Zoom, or Skype) is currently accessing your camera in the background.

# volume_up I cannot hear the other participants

If you can be seen but cannot hear anything:

  • System Volume: Are your device's speakers turned on and the volume turned up?
  • Browser Tab Muted? Right-click on the tab at the top of your browser. Select "Unmute site" or "Unmute tab" if applicable.
  • Output Device: Check the settings dialog (settings_video_camera gear icon) to ensure the correct output device (e.g., headset vs. speakers) is selected.

If the steps above do not help, the issue is often related to the system environment:

Browser Recommendation

For the best stability, use modern Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, or Apple Safari. Ensure that all updates are installed.

Network & Security

  • VPN & Citrix: Virtual environments or active VPN connections can block real-time audio and video transmission. Try disabling these and work directly with a browser on your local computer.
  • Firewall/Antivirus: Some security programs block browser access to the camera and microphone. Check the settings of your security software.
